In 1986 Thillai Muthukumaran Natarajan realized his passion for violin and started his music career with Sangeetha Booshanam Kumaravel. Throughout his professional life he has learnt violin from some of the greatest in the field including Madurai J. Ramaiah, N. Ramanathan, Suguna Varathachari, V.L Sutharshan, V.L. Kumar and O.S Thiyagarajan. Prof. Muthukumaran finished his Bachelor of Music in Violin from Annamalai University in 1996 and has done MA in Indian Music at Madras University.
